Food Hygiene Debate Kit

Our latest Science Debate Kit, funded by e-Bug and SafeConsume, asks the question:

Is it safer to eat at home or out at a restaurant?

Covering relevant topics such as illness, viruses, and bacteria, this Debate Kit helps students explore the societal, ethical, and factual issues around food hygiene in a balanced discussion.

The Kit includes eight characters with different viewpoints and provides all you need to run a debate around the safety of eating at home and at restaurants. The structure shows students how to build a discussion and back up their opinions with facts.

Based on character cards and lesson notes; the activity takes very little preparation and is designed to last around 50 minutes. Additional resources will be available with the Kit including further reading and references on character’s facts.
